Press release -
Bivy Stick Now Made in the USA
Fort Lauderdale, FL & Salt Lake City, UT, on April 7 2022– Bivy and ACR Electronics, Inc. have announced that 100% of Bivy Stick satellite messenger device production has moved to ACR Electronics’ 55,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with immediate effect.
ACR Electronics builds products knowing they are used to save lives. While the Bivy product is a satellite messenger device, it is also a recognized lifesaver and having the full production process located at the ACR headquarters provides a higher level of quality assurance compared to some other manufacturers.
The Bivy Stick is the smallest, best quality satellite communication device available at only $199.95.
“While outsourcing manufacturing to other parts of the world in order to drive costs down is great for some products, at ACR we believe in quality because our products are designed to save lives,” said Mikele D’Arcangelo, ACR’s VP of Global Marketing and Product Management. “Our in-house production capabilities allow us to have quality assurance steps in place throughout the entire build process to ensure that our satellite communication devices are the best quality available.”
Bivy Stick turns every cell phone into a satellite communication device. With global satellite coverage via the Iridium satellite network, anywhere you have a view of the sky, you can communicate through the Bivy Stick. While conveniently compact, the Bivy Stick still offers a comprehensive feature set including two-way text messaging, SOS, location sharing, one-touch Check-in, and detailed weather reports sent straight to your cell phone via satellite.
Additionally, offering a feature not provided with many other satellite communicators, the Bivy Stick provides users with a dedicated phone number and email. This important feature allows unsolicited incoming messages, meaning that those that are most important to you can reach you at any time, without the need for you to initiate contact.
Bivy Stick is the perfect complement to the gear lists of boaters, kayakers, paddlers, fishermen, backpackers, mountain bikers, hunters, off-highway vehicle (OHV) users, skiers and snowboarders, global travelers and/or anyone accessing remote terrain.
Bivy Stick has accrued a lengthy list of success stories ranging from David’s survival story and Kelly’s mental health story.
