Press release -

Cox Texas Distributor puts CXO300 triple installation to good use by delivering Christmas presents to underprivileged children

Shoreham, UK – 15 December 2021 - On Saturday 4th December, Cox Marine’s Texan distributors, Texas Diesel Outboard, once again took their Invincible boat, powered by a triple CXO300 installation, on the annual Port O’Connor Toy Run. The Toy Run is a charity event that works towards donating toys and gifts to underprivileged children in the Port O’Connor area.

Texas Diesel Outboards have taken part in this charitable event for the last few years, but this is the second year they have used their Cox-powered Invincible to make the 72-mile trip down the coast for a great cause.

Boats from across Texas met at Surf Side Marina in Freeport, Texas, and traveled to Port O’Connor to deliver the toys to the Angel Tree program, an organization that works towards ensuring all children experience the joy of Christmas.

Speaking about the Toy Run, John Bowen, President at Texas Diesel Outboard said: “We were pleased to participate in the annual Freeport Toy Run to Port O’Connor again this year aboard the Justified. It’s a great way to pair the joys of giving anonymously and boating together. The triple CXO300 installation performed very well, and we were able to burn less fuel than other similar boats which was a huge bonus.”

The CXO300 provides at least 25% better range compared to a gasoline outboard and 100% higher peak torque at the crankshaft than the leading gasoline 300hp outboards, which enables crafts to move more weight more efficiently and reach peak torque and top power more quickly.
