FLIR: METSTRADE - FLIR 232 Marine Thermal Camera Receives DAME Design Award Special Mention

The new FLIR M232 marine thermal night vision camera has received a DAME Design Award Special Mention accolade in the ‘Marine Electronics and Marine Related Software’ category at this year’s METSTRADE. 

Launched in February of this year, the M232 belongs to the FLIR M100 and M200 series and is FLIR’s smallest and most affordable pan and tilt marine thermal night vision camera. Using FLIR’s latest generation Boson™ thermal core, the M232 lets boaters see at night in 320 x 240 thermal resolution and features 4x digital zoom. The ground-breaking M232 also offers full pan and tilt for viewing 360 degrees in both vertical and horizontal planes.

The M232 is easy to install and a simple Ethernet connection allows the camera to network with multiple compatible MFDs.When connected with Raymarine’s Axiom MFDs the M232 lets Raymarine owners to take advantage of FLIR's new ClearCruise™ intelligent thermal analytics technology.ClearCruise brings boaters an advanced level of awareness and safety by visually and audibly alerting the operator when "non-water" objects such as boats, obstacles, or navigation markers are identified in the scene.

Retailing at €3495 / $3499 USD, the FLIR M232 is available now through FLIR’s network of FLIR Maritime and Raymarine dealers.
