METSTRADE 2019: VETUS Reveals New Glazing Products
METSTRADE 2019, November 19th to 21st, Stand 01.341
VETUS is expanding its portfolio of glazing products with sleek new portlights, ventilation hatches, and roller blind and fly screens, enhancing its offering of complete boat window solutions.
Adding to the selection of VETUS portholes, the new ultra-slim PL series offers boat owners a stylish portlight featuring a very shallow satin-black powder coated aluminium edge with 10mm thick ‘dark smoke’ tinted acrylic. The clamping mechanism with internal trim is suitable for 2mm to 20mm wall thicknesses, ensuring an extremely low profile portlight.
Thoroughly tested and CE approved for use in A1 locations, the PL Series portlights are fitted with the new VETUS ergonomic refined and durable hinged window and portlight PPL2 knobs with a tapered, modern design and pronounced indents for easy gripping.
The FGHF series of ventilation hatches feature new flush-mounted handles, stays and hinges in the acrylic for a perfectly flat surface, offering a maintenance-free and classy flush hatch ideal for modern boats.
The FGHF hatches, as well as the proven FGH series, are meticulously engineered to ensure a smooth transition between hatch and deck, but the new models have the added advantage of no protruding components for reduced wind noise and easy cleaning.
The 12mm thick ‘dark smoke’ acrylic provides a premium finish, while the polished and anodized aluminium frame completes the stylish design in the interior.
The hatches are fitted with ergonomic handles, with the larger size models equipped with a socket in the handle so they can be opened from the outside with a winch handle.
Suitable for category A, area II positions with the VETUS clamps closing the hatch tightly, the 4 models of the FGHF Series are engineered for cut-outs with a corner radius of 43mm.
The versatile HMB 2.0 series roller blind and fly screen combination is now available with a new sleek design to maximise vision through the hatch.
Developed specifically for escape and ventilation deck hatches, the updated models feature new components including altered hooks for durability, a stronger and easy to reach adjustable spring to reset the tension of the screen and an improved guiding system for smooth operation.
The compact HMB 2.0 units have a roller blind on one side of the unit and a roller fly screen on the other. Using a smart design combining two roller mechanisms in one, the hatch can be blacked out, or the blind retracted and fly screen deployed over the aperture, or both can be retracted automatically, depending on required cabin conditions.
The powder-coated, off-white aluminium housing parts are extremely durable, while the blind and fly screen are made from UV stabilised grey PVC coated material.
