Ocean Signal and UML Strengthen Sales Teams with Key Appointments
Colin Greetham is promoted to UML Sales Director and Kris Nieuwenhuis takes over as ACR and Ocean Signal Sales Manager for United Kingdom and Northern Europe
Ocean Signal, alongside sister brands ACR Electronics, Inc. and United Moulders Ltd (UML), have announced new appointments to strengthen their sales teams in response to strong global demand for the combined marine safety product portfolio.
The key changes to the business include the promotion of 15-year industry veteran Colin Greetham to the role of UML Sales Director to manage the current order book and focus on continuing to drive sales and a high standard of customer support. During six years as UK and Northern Europe Sales Manager for ACR and Ocean Signal, Colin has successfully helped establish the Ocean Signal brand as one of the world’s leading suppliers of safety electronics and has also increased the reach of the ACR range in the region.
Ocean Signal Managing Director James Hewitt said: “We are pleased to announce the promotion of Colin Greetham to strengthen the UML team as sales increase. As well as growing the brand and establishing a strong distribution network for the Ocean Signal range, Colin has been instrumental in significantly raising the profile of the ACR range of marine safety products within the EMEA markets. He has already worked with many of UML’s key customers through his work promoting the use of MOB devices. This will inevitably help with his transition into the UML sales team.”
Current Ocean Signal Technical Business Development Manager Kris Nieuwenhuis will take over as Sales Manager for UK and Northern Europe for ACR and Ocean Signal. Kris has excelled in his four years at the company and brings years of industry experience and technical skill and knowledge to his expanded position.
James Hewitt added: “Kris also has 15 years of industry experience and his expertise will be vital in continuing successful sales growth for the ACR and Ocean Signal products in the UK and North Europe regions. He has a comprehensive knowledge of our customers which will enable him to thrive in this role.”
Ocean Signal’s comprehensive product range includes the EPIRB1, EPIRB1 Pro, the award-winning AIS MOB1 device and the PLB1, the world’s smallest Personal Locator Beacon, while United Moulders Ltd (UML) supplies lifejacket inflation systems and lights.
